Mission

Dolomiti Open is an amateur sports association born and operating in Trentino Alto Adige. Its goals are the following:

  • To encourage and disseminate the culture of sport in a natural environment, and in particular that of the mountain as a place of personal growth and social/relational connection.

  • To convey the concept of “Everybody’s Heritage” (a shared common asset) through concrete territorial projects capable of stimulating personal growth through the values of respect for diversity, attention towards and appreciation of the territory, sharing of common assets, rediscovery of the territory and profound respect for the environment..

Goals

To increase “wellbeing” in daily living through concrete examples, passion and enthusiasm for projects and ideas that unite us and make us feel a community.

To succeed in transmitting the universal values – never to be taken for granted – of respect for nature and awareness of its absolute importance as a gymnasium in which to experiment moments of intimate and community life.

To improve all that is around us through commitment and dedication, developing projects for the entire community.

Climb for Inclusion

A PROJECT FOR THE INCLUSIVE MOUNTAIN

ASD Dolomiti Open adheres, with its own initiatives, to the Climb for Inclusion project conceived by Sportfund and Climbing Technology® to instil the values of mountaineering in young people.
The project aims to disseminate mountaineering as a tool for personal growth and social inclusion, as well as to enhance awareness of the beauty of the mountains and the values of mountaineering. In particular, the project provides young people with disabilities or in situations of social distress with the economic and technical tools with which to develop a passion for sporting activities, encouraging them towards a positive path for their psychophysical health.

Mountain sports, combined with the pleasure of the environment in which they are practised, are a precious point of reference for the development of the new generations because they transmit fundamental values such as moral strength, solidarity, recognition of talent and personal commitment.

The project will be a dynamic container of ideas as well as human, economic and technological resources for the promotion and support of mountain sports as an extraordinary tool for integration.
The activities envisaged, some already begun, include:

  • Climbing Indoors, in natural environments and on via ferrata

  • Summer and winter hiking

  • Climbing on ice

  • Ski mountaineering

As well as these practical activities, the project aims to create, or enhance where they already exist, indoor and outdoor structures for the training and practice of mountain sports and to develop the technology available to sportspeople with disabilities.
